As soon as possible! While we typically require booking private events with at least one-month lead time, our venues book on a first-come, first-served basis and premium dates fill up quickly.
Yes, you will get priority selection of venues and dates. Booking early also increases options for add-ons like caricatures, photo stations, décor rental, and Animal Encounters.
Yes! WildLanterns is an enchanting backdrop for corporate events whether you are looking for a casual “grab & go” format for folks to mingle while sipping hot cocoa or a more formal sit-down dinner to connect, our team can guide you through venue recommendations & menu selection.

Yes! We will post bill WildLanterns admissions tickets at a special discounted rate based on actual attendance. In addition to the savings, the post bill format allows for some flexibility if some folks cannot make it or if some extra folks want to attend last minute.
Click here for our current WildLanterns Menu for our full food and beverage offerings. Beer wine and cocktails can be added to your event. Alcoholic beverages must be enjoyed within the footprint of your venue rental. Please ask your catering sales specialist about customizable menu options
Levy Catering is the exclusive food and beverage provider for Woodland Park Zoo. We do not allow any outside food and beverage for private event and venue rentals. Food and beverage minimums apply for all venues prior to tax, admin and staffing fees.
Yes! If your group is larger than 200 people, our team offers booking of multiple (or even all four!) venue spaces for your event. Our team will assist you in choosing the best combination of spaces for your group.
Yes! Small groups are welcome to book a WildLanterns event. Please reference our food & beverage minimums for private events to make sure that your group is large enough to meet the minimum. If your group has less than 20 people, we recommend booking our Snow Globes experience instead. Click here for Snow Globe bookings.
Yes! Private event bookings are allowed on themed nights! Our themed nights are a fun addition to our WildLanterns season, however everyone is welcome and participation in themed night is not required. The only exceptions are our 21+ Nights, which requires all guests, including private event attendees, to be over the age of 21+.
Yes! Gates for WildLanterns will open at 4:00pm and close at 9:00pm. Private event guests are free to explore lanterns anytime during those hours. Please keep in mind that the last entry is 8:30pm.
Yes! We can help you coordinate add-ons like caricature drawing, facepainting, airbrush tattoos, photobooths, and more during your planning meeting. Add-ons are subject to additional fees and staffing availability.
